"Our vision at Rose Breast Health (RBH) is to create a world where every woman, regardless of her background or circumstances, has access to life-saving breast cancer care. We envision a future where no woman faces breast cancer alone, and where early detection and effective treatment are available to all."

"We believe that healthcare is a fundamental human right and that every woman deserves access to high-quality breast cancer care. This core belief drives our mission and shapes every initiative we undertake"

Founded in 2021, Rose Breast Health (RBH) was born out of a deep, personal understanding of the devastating impact of breast cancer. Our founders, Benita and Bernard Omewu, grew up in Nigeria, where they witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking reality of late diagnoses and inadequate healthcare, leaving many women to battle this disease without the support they needed. They saw the pain of families torn apart and children prematurely losing their mothers at a very young age.

When Benita moved to Australia, she was struck by the transformative power of the country’s free national screening programs and comprehensive healthcare. As a mammographer with BreastScreen NSW, she witnessed how early detection and access to quality care could save lives and bring hope to countless women. This experience ignited a passion to bridge the gap and ensure that underserved women, particularly within the African diaspora in Australia and beyond, have access to the same life-saving resources.

At RBH, we are committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent these women from receiving the breast cancer care they desperately need. Our mission is simple yet profound: to ensure that every woman, regardless of her background or circumstances, has the opportunity to live a healthy, cancer-free life. We focus on increasing access to screenings, providing comprehensive support services, and extending our reach to women in Africa who face even greater challenges in accessing care.

We know that early detection is key to survival, and we believe that no woman should have to face breast cancer alone. With your support, we can continue to provide critical services and education, empowering women to take control of their health and their futures. Your donation can make a tangible difference—helping us reach more women, save more lives, and create a world where every woman has the chance to live a full, healthy life.

Join us in this fight. Together, we can change the story of breast cancer, one woman at a time.
